City & getting around

Use official crossings and give pedestrians priority.
Check local signage and temporary road layouts during the festival.

Street etiquette — six simple rules

Supportive, community tone — not “police style”. Replace with final copy when ready.

Pedestrians first — slow down, communicate, don’t snake through crowds.
Leave spots tidy — take litter with you; respect neighbours and shop fronts.
Respect drivers & bikes — don’t block lanes; use lights at night.
Look after beginners — make space; call out obstacles.
Noise & nights — keep residential areas calm after hours.
Ask crew — security and volunteers are there to help, not to nag.

Hydrate, use shade, and pace yourself — especially on hot days.
